about darren.
darren is the founder and director of newcastle physiotherapy. a former international swimmer who represented great britain at world and european championships, he brings a deep understanding of elite-level preparation and return-to-sport rehabilitation.
he graduated from northumbria university in 2005 with first-class honours, then spent more than two years in nhs roles across musculoskeletal, orthopaedics, neurology and respiratory medicine before transitioning to private practice in 2008. he established newcastle physiotherapy in 2011.
in 2012 darren was one of the team gb physiotherapists at the london olympics, covering open-water swimming. he continues to consult for british swimming, england golf, and multiple swimming clubs and councils across the north east.
