3 years’ experience with NP. Can’t advice highly enough what pro treatment I have received with my multiple rugby injuries. The girls at the front desk always have a smile on their face and are always helping out with fitting an appointment into my last minute schedule.

Can I bring to your attention how impressed I was with the help and treatment I received from Fatma Elmahdi. 2 months ago, I was in extreme lower back pain and discomfort. Which affected my day-to-day life, I was recommended by my daughter-in-law.
Over the last 2 months, Fatma’s treatment and the exercise regimen she devised have meant I am 99.9% pain-free. I was prescribed numerous high-strength painkillers by my GP and told that the pain would go away in 4 weeks. Without Fatma’s high level of treatment, I would still be reliant on pain relief. I don’t take any tablets at all.
Fatma is an asset to your organisation and will always recommend your service to my friends if they need help. Again many thanks to Fatma .

Common Questions
Most Popular Questions
Here is a list of some of the most popular questions that we get from our customers.
How long will it take for me to recover?
Recovery time varies greatly depending on your specific condition, severity, age, overall health, and how well you follow your treatment plan. For acute injuries like muscle strains, you might see improvement in 2-6 weeks. Chronic conditions or post-surgical recovery can take several months. The key is consistency with your exercises and being patient with the healing process. I’ll reassess your progress regularly and adjust our timeline as needed.
Should I exercise if I’m in pain?
This depends on the type and intensity of pain. Generally, some discomfort during therapeutic exercises is normal and expected – we often say “good pain vs. bad pain.” Sharp, shooting, or significantly worsening pain means stop immediately. Mild muscle soreness or stretching sensations are usually okay to work through. I’ll teach you to recognize the difference and always listen to your body.
Why do I need to do these exercises at home?
Home exercises are crucial because I only see you 2-3 times per week, but your body needs consistent, daily movement to heal and strengthen. Think of it like learning a musical instrument – practicing only during lessons isn’t enough. Your home program reinforces what we do here and helps maintain progress between sessions. Consistency is more important than intensity.
Can you just ‘crack’ my back/neck to fix it?
While manual therapy and joint mobilizations can provide temporary relief and are part of treatment, there’s no quick “fix” for most musculoskeletal problems. True healing requires addressing underlying muscle imbalances, movement patterns, and strengthening weak areas. I use hands-on techniques as tools within a comprehensive treatment plan, not as standalone solutions.
When should I stop physiotherapy?
We’ll discharge you when you’ve met your functional goals, can manage your condition independently, and have the tools to prevent re-injury. This might mean you’re pain-free, or for chronic conditions, it might mean you can effectively self-manage symptoms. I’ll always provide you with a maintenance program and advice on when to return if needed.
Will this problem come back?
Many conditions can recur, especially if underlying factors aren’t addressed. However, completing your full treatment program, maintaining good movement habits, staying active, and doing periodic “tune-up” exercises significantly reduces recurrence risk. I’ll educate you about warning signs and prevention strategies specific to your condition.
Remember, every patient is unique, and I always encourage you to ask questions about your specific situation during our sessions!
